Vegan Tartar Sauce


Classic Tartar Sauce, but VEGAN!


Tartar sauce was another thing I didn't eat too much of before going vegan, and I don't know why, it's so dang good! I'm pretty sure this would work on dishes other than fish too, but I'd have to experiment first.


I added a bunch of ingredients not always found in tartar sauce, so feel free to leave out anything you don't like, but if you have access to these ingredients, or especially if you already have them at home, I highly recommend adding them! It was a bonafide hit!



RECIPE

Makes about 1 cup of sauce


  • 3/4 cup vegan mayo

  • 3 Tbsp sweet relish

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 Tbsp capers (chopped)

  • 1 Tbsp fresh dill (chopped)

  • 1 tsp vegan worcestershire

  • 1 tsp dijon mustard

  • 1/2 tsp prepared horseradish

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp white vinegar

  • 1 tsp hot sauce

  • Salt & pepper to taste


INSTRUCTIONS


  1. Combine all ingredients until thoroughly mixed. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. ENJOY!
